Pet Partners Therapy Pet Handler Workshop

Therapy Pets of the Red River Valley will be offering a Pet Partners Therapy Pet Handler Workshop, which is one step in the process to become registered Pet Partners with the  Pet Partners® Therapy Animal Program.    This will be a seven week workshop on Mondays at 5:30pm from August 29th thru October 17th (no class September 5th). The workshop will be held at Red River North Dog Obedience Club, located at 2202-A 3rd Avenue North, Fargo.

The first class of the workshop will be for people only (no pets).  Information and requirements of the Pet Partner teams will be discussed.  You are welcome to attend the first class to learn what it is all about and then register that day if you want to continue with the rest of the workshop.

Email us at therapypetsrrv@gmail.com for more information or see the Red River North Dog Obedience Club website for registration and additional information.

Read to a Dog at the Library!

Fargo Main Library

01
Kids in grades K-6 who are learning to read, or just need to polish their skills, can snuggle up and read to a furry, nonjudgmental listener each month (September-April) at the Fargo Main Library.

On the second Saturday of the month, volunteer pet partner teams from Therapy Pets of the Red River Valley  will be at the Fargo Main Library from 1-3 p.m. to lend an ear. Kids may bring their own books to read, or choose from a selection of library books. Register for a 15 minute session by calling 241-1495.
